DC ACTION was a British DC bi-monthly from 1990 , published by London Editions. It had card covers and featured characters such as New Teen Titans, Animal Man and Secret Origins, and also some text features. It lasted 6 issues before vanishing from the shelves; Animal Man continued in London Edition's cheaper (95p) 1991 replacement, SHOCKWAVE. That lasted four issues before pulling a similar vanishing act.

Gosh, I remember picking up the first issue (it was a hot day). Like yesterday. Back then, London Editions Magazines - who did a much better job than the disinterested Titan Comics do today - had real passion.
I spoke to Brian M. Clarke, the editor of many of those publications, a few years ago. He clearly had passion and wanted to get more out there than Superman/Batman on UK shelves. Shame this title didn't last long.
Some of it was maybe too ambitious - like Zones - but I remember them fondly. Nowadays, Titan, who have the DC licence in the UK, have a "production line mentality", just churning out titles to cash in without any real passion. Sad.
