The Hulk first appeared in 1962. His title wasn't a huge success at the time though, only lasting 6 issues. However he made a lasting impression on readers, returning as a guest-star in other titles and soon regaining his own series, co-headlining in Tales To Astonish

Covers featuring the Hulk from Tales To Astonish. Although he didn't appear on every cover, he starred in the series from issue 60 -101, when the title split in two. The Sub-Mariner would get his own new title, as would the Hulk again. The new Hulk title though would continue the TTA numbering, beginning with #102.
