Nova is a character who deserved to soar (no pun intended) higher than he did. I have Essential Nova Vol. 1 somewhere, I really should get around to reading it.

I bought most of these issues when they first came out, although I missed a few because of the rather random UK distribution of the time. I loved the series to begin with, with artists John Buscema followed by brother Sal, but once replacement Carmine Infantino took over the series was never quite the same. Infantino was past his best by this time, although I enjoyed his Silver Age stuff I'm not too keen on his work from this period.
