Most Underrated Superhero

Who, in your opinion, is the most underrated superhero?

Obviously, the likes of Superman, Batman and Spider-Man are very popular and always will be. However, there are characters who don't soar as high. There's nothing wrong with such characters, they just don't seem able to have the success that others do, despite their many strengths.

For me, the most underrated superhero is Green Arrow. I like his personality and array of weapons, and feel he has been an important part of many DC adventures. I just wish he'd get a movie, although given how Hollywood often tampers with things, I'm not so sure that's a good idea.

Where to start, that's the problem here. So many to pick from! Like you say, Superman, Batman and Spider-Man will always be very popular as will the X-Men. All of which you'd probably say are the 'A'-listers although personally I think the X-Men will always struggle to top the Claremont-Byrne era.

Once you go past those it's easy to pick many of those other characters who have been filmed, such as the Flash, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, the Hulk and the FF. All of whom should be considered A-listers imo but the filmed versions have had mixed receptions with the general public over the years. The film/tv versions of the characters haven't always been as expected and sometimes haven't helped raise the profile of the characters as much as may have been expected (I'm thinking particularly about Daredevil and the FF here)
