Okay, does anybody have a favourite theme from any of the superhero movies we've seen over the years?
For me, nothing can touch John Williams' Superman score, a piece which has transcended Superman comics. I cannot pick up a Superman comic from any era without thinking of that particular theme. Quite simply, it is awesome.
My runner-up would be Danny Elfman's Batman theme. I wish they'd kept that theme for the Christian Bale Batman movies.
What about the rest of you?

Both good choices, the Superman score is one of the greatest movie themes of all and it's a great piece of music reguardless of the movie.
I'm struggling to think of any other superhero scores that stands out. The Rami Spiderman movies were ok, but certainly not in the same league as Superman. None of the recent superhero movies (or at least the ones I've seen) have had great music.

And that's a shame, isn't it? None of the modern superhero movie themes have appealed to me.
The good movie themes become part of the character outside a particular incarnation. So, the hauntingly beautiful Joe Harnell's theme for the 70s Hulk series is 'playing' in my head when I read any Hulk comic, book, movie, etc. And I think of Elfman's Batman theme no matter which version of Batman I am watching (except for the Adam West series).
It'd be nice if a modern superhero theme floated my boat. I used to buy soundtracks on LP for movies, that doesn't happen so much now.

John Williams Superman theme really doesn't have any close competition in the movie world, does it? Elfman's Batman is good, but it just isn't so instantly memorable, it's more of a 'grower'. The Superman theme though is just such a simple melody, easily stuck in your head once you've heard it, whereas none of the others are...that's what makes it so good.
I much preferred Danny Elfman's theme to the Flash tv series than I did his Batman movie theme, not only because I think it's a great theme but the fact that you hear the theme over 20 times in a single season (over 40 if you watch the end credits) means that it quickly sticks in your head, unlike a longer film piece that you may only hear once and have to specifically search for if you want to hear it again.
My favourite superhero theme of them all though has to be Joe Harnell's closing theme for the Incredible Hulk tv series. It tops Williams Superman theme imo, and my only criticism of the original is that it isn't long enough! My favourite version of the theme is by Geoff Love & His Orchestra, who recorded it for their Superthemes album back in the late 70s, and this recording popped up in various other (Geoff Love) tv and film theme compilations over the years. Well worth the tracking down if you've never heard it, I've got a feeling this may be available on iTunes.

Doesn't really count as a theme tune, but special mention must go to the music used in the Watchmen movie. Who ever decided to put a montage up to Bob Dylan's 'The times they are a changing' is a genius. If I didn't already own nearly all the tracks used, I'd have bought the sound track CD and I can't think of another movie, let alone superhero movie where I've considered that.
