Super DC

This was a short-lived monthly title, running for 14 issues from June 1969 - July 1970. editorially produced by Marvelman creator Mick Anglo, and published by Thorpe & Porter. It featured b&w reprints of DC material, cut and pasted from the usual 9 or so panels per page to 12 or 15 to fill up the larger UK page size.

Super DC also published one annual, The Giant Superman Album, in 1969.

It had the exact same format of altered pages, and even included a number of letters pages...because of this, it has been suggested that this annual may even be a simple repackaging of several unsold earlier issues of Super DC with a new cover. No-one seems to know for sure, though.

Heard of this, never read it. I suspect, like you, it was a little before my time.

Certainly, there looks like there's passion on the pages. There have been some great companies reprinting DC material for UK audiences at times.
