There have been many great paperback book govers over the years, particularly in the sci-fi/fantasy/adventure genres. I don't have enough prepared at the moment to give them a board of their own, but there's enough to merit a thread of their own. In keeping with the general content of this forum though, here are a selection of Pocket Books issued in the late 1970s which reprinted some great early Marvel moments...
I bought most of these back in the day, they were easily available in the paperback section of my local John Menzies rather than the comic/magazine area. They cost 75p each and were of a standard paperback size (not the slightly larger dimensions of their modern-day Panini counterparts), making the print very small to read at times (particularly when I try to read them nowadays). The only ones I didn't own were the Hulk Vol 2 and the video novel, nor the Spider-Man newspaper strips. There is one cover missing from the set though, Dr Strange Vol2 which I'll try to dig out and scan. Unfortunately most of my copies of these little gems went the way of most of my comic collection, to the great dustbin in the sky, but I've still got a few of them and occasionally scour e-bay to try to replace the others. They tend to be pretty expensive though...
