I really miss this title (I've said why on countless occasions). Titan Comics' version just cannot compare to the passion, enthusiasm and excitement of Panini's version.

Can't fault the art work, but these are a lot less appealing to me than the 70s covers. They seem to be somehow missing a sense of fun.

I think much of the problem is that the comics grew up with the audience, trying to keep them as they got older rather than risk losing them. Like you say, the artwork's fine but they certainly lack the sense of fun covers had in earlier decades. However if things had stayed the same in that respect, given the changes in entertainment choices etc and seeing how the British comic market is practically non-existent these days, if comics hadn't changed their general outlook would there even have been a Batman title to be published in recent years?
