I was a bit young for 2000Ad when I was buying comics and when I was the right age I was more interested in Doctor Who magazine. In hindsight this was the wrong choice, I've been enjoying several of the 2000Ad collections recently, Judge Dredd, Nemisis the Warlock, Halo Jones and Thragg. Some really great strips along with great writers and artists.

2000AD has changed a lot, over the years. It's target audience has changed, and I feel personally that apart from its title it has very little in common with its early days, which although admittedly simpler, when it was just so much more fun. Look at those early issues...time travel, dinosaurs, disembodied brains, deadly futuristic games, invasions...there was something for everyone. It's just all so serious now (at least the occasional issues that I've picked up in recent years have been) and does nothing for me.

I agree with MacNimon. The thing is, when I picked up some issues recently, I couldn't work out if it was me being much older that caused me to not enjoy the issues or whether it just wasn't as good. Who knows?
