2000AD was a title I bought rarely. With a bit more cash in my pocket, it would have been a more frequent purchase. I mean, what's not to love about Judge Dredd?
Also, as a kid, the year 2000 seemed like such a long way away, so it was futuristic enough to interest me, but near enough to think, 'Wow, all this cool stuff could happen.'

A brilliant title, although I haven't read as many as I would have liked.
Also, as a kid, the year 2000 was a long way away, so it was futuristic enough to sound exciting. I'm guessing someone born in, say, 1991 who picked up an issue when they were 6 or 7 wouldn't feel it was an exciting futuristic date but for us "oldies", the date seemed far enough away to inspire awe.
