In early 1972, Fleetway launched a licensed Disney title which ran for over 3 years. I have fond memories of this comic, and its companion paper Goofy and also Pluto; in those days there were no videos/dvds or videos andf the only opportunity you ever had of seeing these characters was on the BBC's Disney Time series, which was broadcast on Bank Holidays.
Eventually Goofy and also Pluto folded and was merged into the now-titled Donald and Mickey and also Goofy (this was my first experience of comics merging!) and late in its run the title gradually changed over the course of a few weeks; the Mickey part of the logo became larger and eventually moved in front of Donald's name (now Mickey And Donald) but this was part of a move which would actually see a rare instance of a title expanding, being split into two seperate titles rather than two titles merging. Donald Duck then received his own title, then Mickey Mouse got his own title a few weeks later which was renumbered from issue 1.
