It's too bad these are only front covers, though. I can't help but wonder what mishap finally befell Bruce on his bicycle?!

Thanks for putting up the Film Fun comics - brilliant, well done ! You can see what I meant re the likeness of the stars...and the sheer detail in each comic strip cartoon - superbly done ! I can remember the 'Film Fun' annual cover i had: Red Skelton (one of the featured stars in a comic strip) as a teacher in cap & gown pointing his cane at a blackboard with pics of Jerry Lewis, Lou Costello, & a few other - the back colour photo was some cowboy star (Rex Allen ?) with his horse inner sleeves featured colour photos of 'The Ship That Died of Shame' (out on DVD now), Leslie Neilsen & Ann Francis with Robby The Robot in 'Forbidden Planet', John Wayne in 'The Conqueror', Richard Conte in a racing car in 'The Mask of Dust' & others I forget.... Ronald Shiner was in 'Barrels of Fun' comic strip story... young Frankie Howerd told a tale re his days at boarding school in a non comic strip item too... Bruce Forsyth was not in the annual I had, he must have been added after.... It must have been circa 1958-1960....

This is an interesting topic (but then again, aren't they all on this forum?).
Some people think celebrity strips in comics nowadays are a new phenomena, but strips like the ones in this topic show it's been done for years.
Some of the celebrity strips in Viz are funny. There's been a couple with Elton John trying to scam people and a young Alan Sugar trying to make money. They're very funny.
